Hannah Carter, LMSW
Brooklyn, NY
-
Hannah is a somatic and trauma-based therapist committed to supporting clients in reconnecting with their bodies, reclaiming their wholeness, and moving toward personal and collective liberation.
Hannah holds a MA in Social Work and a BA in Psychology. Her approach is rooted in holistic therapy, weaving together somatic practices, mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the mind, body, and spirit in an integrated path toward healing.
With experience in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Psychedelic Integration, Hannah holds space for expanded states of consciousness as meaningful tools for deep insight, regulation, and transformation. Her work is deeply informed by her time facilitating at an ayahuasca center in Pucallpa, Peru, where she had the honor of working alongside the Shipibo people and learning from their ancestral healing traditions.
Since receiving her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2016, embodied movement and breath have remained foundational to both her personal and professional practice. She sees healing not just as an individual journey but as a collective and liberatory act—one that invites us to challenge oppressive systems, restore inner balance, and deepen our connection to self and others.
She welcomes clients of all backgrounds, especially those seeking trauma-informed, body-centered, and holistic approaches to therapy.
